A guy hanging a shelf was trying to get it centered, when his little son started commenting about it in baby talk from the next room.

So the guy somehow made it seem like they were arguing . . . and the kid went along.

A Hospital Charged a Couple $40 to Hold Their Baby After He Was Born

A Hospital Charged a Couple $40 to Hold Their Baby After He Was Born

It’s really amazing how much of an out-of-control beast our healthcare system has become after decades and decades of running totally unchecked.

A couple in Utah had a baby a few weeks ago, and the guy just posted a copy of their hospital bill on Reddit . . . that showed a $39.35 charge for, quote, “skin to skin after C-sec.”

In other words, they were charged 40 bucks to hold their son after he was born.

How can the hospital possibly think that’s a reasonable charge?

A labor and delivery nurse posted a response to explain it: When a baby is born with a c-section in the operating room and the parents hold them right away, an extra nurse has to stay and monitor the baby to make sure they’re okay.

And while that may be true, the consensus online is that it’s still a ridiculous thing to see on a hospital bill.

Fifty People Were Killed in Orlando . . . It’s America’s Deadliest Mass Shooting

Fifty People Were Killed in Orlando . . . It’s America’s Deadliest Mass Shooting

Our country suffered another horrible mass shooting this weekend.  Here’s what we know . . .

A 29-year-old walked into a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida called Pulse around 2:00 A.M. on Sunday, and opened fire with an assault rifle and a semi-automatic Glock pistol.  (His name was Omar Mateen . . . but we won’t dignify him with a name.)

He murdered 50 people, and injured at least 53 more.  Then there was a three-hour standoff before the police busted in around 5:00 A.M. and killed him.  It’s the deadliest mass shooting in American history, and the worst terrorist attack since 9/11.

The shooter is a U.S. citizen who was born in New York, and lived here his whole life.  His parents are from Afghanistan.  But he called 911 during the attack to pledge his allegiance to ISIS, and also mentioned the Boston bombers.

He’s actually been on the FBI’s watch list for several years, but the FBI cleared him in 2014 and decided he wasn’t a threat.

ISIS took credit for the attack yesterday, but it’s not clear if they ordered it, or they’re just claiming it since the guy was one of their followers.

Even though he was on the FBI’s watch list, the shooter was able to legally buy the assault rifle he used in the attack 12 days ago.  Probably because he’d been working as a security guard a couple hours south of Orlando, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

His father told reporters his son may’ve targeted the gay nightclub because he got angry earlier this year when he saw two men kissing in Miami.

He also doesn’t think his son was motivated by radical Islamic beliefs.  He said, quote, “This has nothing to do with religion . . . we are in shock like the whole country.”

The shooter married a woman from Uzbekistan in 2009, and she told reporters he had a history with mental illness and steroids . . . and used to BEAT her.  So she left him after four months.  And SHE says his religion didn’t play a role in the attack either.

As for the attack itself, he started shooting right after last call, and the place was still packed . . . there were over 300 people inside for a ‘Latin’ night during gay pride month.

So it was dark, and some people were confused by the sound of gunshots while loud music was playing.

A lot of witness described a scene sort of like the terrorist attack at the rock concert in Paris back in November.

And just like that attack, there are a lot of stories about people escaping . . . hiding . . . and doing whatever they could to help people who were hurt.

The first to respond was a cop who was on extra duty AT the club.  He and two cops nearby exchanged gunfire with the shooter.  Then the guy went back inside, and the standoff started.  When the police finally busted in, 30 more people escaped.

Thirty nine people were found dead at the club . . . another 11 were taken to hospitals and pronounced dead there.  And it all happened just four miles from where that “Voice” contestant CHRISTINA GRIMMIE was shot and killed on Friday.

And just to illustrate what kind of craziness we live in right now, it looks like there could’ve been ANOTHER mass shooting targeting the gay community, on the other side of the country.

The police in Los Angeles caught a 20-year-old from Indiana taking a car full of guns and EXPLOSIVES to the gay pride parade in Hollywood yesterday.

They’re still investigating, but the guy isn’t tied to ISIS, and it wasn’t related to what happened in Orlando.

If you want to help out, there’s a GoFundMe page for the victims and their families . . . GoFundMe.com/PulseVictimsFund.  It’s already raised over $1.2 million.

A Mom Gave Her Son a $29,000 Bill After Living at Home for a Year

There’s a reason people now live with their parents well into their 20s. Free rent, food, Internet, and insurance are AWESOME.

But what if they AREN’T free? A guy from Canada just posted on Reddit about how his plan to live for free with his parents backfired . . . when his mom gave him a BILL.

He’s in college, and he just finished 13 months at his parents’ house. And his mom gave him an itemized bill for a total of almost $29,000 in charges.

The bulk of that is his tuition, but it also included his share of the water bill, gas, cable, Internet, food, and health insurance. She also included a cleaning fee and the cost of the “specialty meals” she made for him.

And . . . she threw in a $1,000 fee for being, quote, “an [a-hole] and not appreciative of your mother’s support financially or otherwise.” That’s $1,000 Canadian, which is $745 in American dollars.

He says his mom did it to teach him a lesson and, quote, “I hope to one day be successful enough to repay her.”

I figured you should hear this story once, since this guy is going to hear about it every single day for the rest of his life.

A guy named Walter from Argentina went on a trip to Brazil with his wife Claudia and their 14-year-old son last week. And as they were driving home, they stopped at a gas station to fill up. And Claudia got out to buy some cookies.

But Walter didn’t realize it . . . he thought she was still sleeping in the backseat. So he and his son drove off and left her behind. And when she tried to call him, it didn’t work . . . since he was going through a rural area and he didn’t have a signal.

So she finally called the police, and they took her to the police station. And Walter drove SIXTY MILES before he finally realized she was missing. Then he turned around to go back and get her, but she’d been stranded for over two hours by then.

And the cops say she was FURIOUS. Quote, “There was no physical assault . . . but she was very angry. She was moaning at him for taking so long to realize.” She also kicked the car when he showed up.
