I figured you should hear this story once, since this guy is going to hear about it every single day for the rest of his life.
A guy named Walter from Argentina went on a trip to Brazil with his wife Claudia and their 14-year-old son last week. And as they were driving home, they stopped at a gas station to fill up. And Claudia got out to buy some cookies.
But Walter didn’t realize it . . . he thought she was still sleeping in the backseat. So he and his son drove off and left her behind. And when she tried to call him, it didn’t work . . . since he was going through a rural area and he didn’t have a signal.
So she finally called the police, and they took her to the police station. And Walter drove SIXTY MILES before he finally realized she was missing. Then he turned around to go back and get her, but she’d been stranded for over two hours by then.
And the cops say she was FURIOUS. Quote, “There was no physical assault . . . but she was very angry. She was moaning at him for taking so long to realize.” She also kicked the car when he showed up.
An 80-year-old guy named Eugene Bostick has a farm on a dead-end street in in Fort Worth, Texas. And several years ago, he noticed people were abandoning their dogs there.
So he and his brother started taking them in, and had them spayed and neutered if they weren’t already. He’s got about eight now. Then he decided to have some fun with it.
A while back, Eugene saw a guy moving rocks by cutting big plastic barrels in half . . . putting wheels on the bottom of each barrel . . . and hooking them up to a tractor, so it was like a little train with rocks in each car.
And he thought it would be a great way to get the DOGS around town too. Apparently he’s a bit of an eccentric.
He put wheels on the bottom of eight barrels, and cut holes in the tops so the dogs could sit in them.
Then he hooked them all up to his riding mower, and drove them around town . . . each dog in his own little compartment.
He says they LOVE it, and whenever they hear him hooking the barrels up to his mower, they run over and jump in.
Not surprisingly, the photos people have taken are going viral.
It’s clear that no matter how many stories we hear about the dangers of texting and driving, we’re not going to stop. But if ANY story was going to change your behavior, it might be this one.
Christina Jahnz of Elizabeth, Colorado dropped her daughter off at school last Wednesday and was running late to a meeting. So as she drove there, she tried to text that she was running late.
But when she looked down to send it, she crashed into a guardrail. And somehow, that guardrail plowed through the front of her car, went through her thigh, and impaled her IN THE BUTT.
The paramedics had to saw off the guardrail and take her to the hospital with it still stuck inside of her.
She had emergency surgery where the doctors removed the guardrail and gave her tons of stitches. Amazingly, she survived . . . she says the doctors told her if it had gone in just a little bit the other way, she would’ve died.
