A Marine corporal named Jarrod Haschert made one of those YouTube videos, asking UFC women’s champ RONDA ROUSEY to the Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina on December 11th.
He said, quote, “You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball . . . You would truly be making my dreams come true.”
Well, somebody’s dreams are about to come true, because Ronda said YES. She told TMZ that she doesn’t know how to work out the details, but, quote, “I’ll totally go . . . It is a yes.”
She also joked that Corporal Haschert had to find dates for her three friends, who were there with her.
Lady Gaga likes to shock but even some controversies are too big for her. According to the “New York Post,” Gaga chose not to release a video for her R. Kelly duet “Do What You Want” because there was too much negative publicity surrounding the clip’s director and co-star.
Gaga shot the video with R. Kelly and director/photographer Terry Richardson back in September with a planned release for December, but wound up scrapping it. In January she posted an angry rant on her website where she blamed time constraints and “those who have betrayed me.”
But the “The Post “reports that just around the time she pulled the video, several models accused Richardson of sexual misconduct (which he denied) and then a “Village Voice” article recounted details of several sexual assault suits brought against Kelly in the 1990s by “dozens of girls,” all of whom had “harrowing lawsuits.” Apparently all the controversy was just too much for the pop star to handle. “Gaga had a video directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body?,’” said a source. “It was literally an ad for rape.”
But nothing stays hidden for long. Just hours after “The Post” article ran, TMZ posted a 30-second snippet of the sexually explicit “Do What You Want” video. The clip has R. Kelly as a doctor “treating” Gaga, while other clips have a naked Gaga writhing around the floor wrapped only in newspaper. In another clip Richardson inserts himself in the video as a photographer taking pictures of Gaga. Judging by the 30 seconds, she made the right choice pulling the whole thing.
